Apple CEO claims that Android is more dominant globally

“It just works,” said Apple’s founder Steve Jobs back then, now the quote was repeated by current CEO Tim Cook during the antitrust lawsuit hearing to the House Judiciary Committee. Besides that, he also said that Google (Android) is the most dominant operating system around the world when asked about Apple’s monopoly in the smartphone industry.

During his testimony, Cook continued to defend his company that they have nothing to do with monopolizing the market. However, he does believe that Apple products have stimulated and developed the mobile software market, as well as citing the company’s founder, Steve Job’s vision and philosophy. Hence the quote, “It just works”.

Despite the fact that there are more Android users than Apple users, Cook did seem to ignore the fact that Apple is “abusing” some business areas. For example, Cook didn’t admit that the Apple App Store enforces strict rules onto the app developers to comply and remain silent, as well as removing some Arcade games because they weren’t engaging enough. Moreover, Apple users are kind of “forced” to purchase Apple accessories to complement Apple devices.
