When it comes to music platforms, Spotify is probably the most popular amongst Malaysians. While there are other music streaming services such as YouTube Music, Joox, Tidal, Deezer and others, the majority of music listeners are satisfied with just average MP3 quality. However, that might change as Apple Music just officially teased something.

If you visit the Apple Music webpage here, you can see that there's a new announcement coming soon with a message saying "Get ready - music is about to change forever". In case you missed it, there have been several reports about Apple wanting to bring in a lossless music format which is a treat for audiophiles. If true, then Apple would be introducing this new feature this week on the 18th of May (US timezone).

In our previous news, we also wrote that there could be two tiers of lossless music for the Apple Music Android version. One is called High-Res Lossless playing at 24-bit/192kHz whereas the other - Basic Lossless playing at 24-bit/48kHz instead. The latter seems to offer lower data consumption because lossless files are usually big.

At the moment, only Tidal offers lossless music and Spotify is planning to introduce its own version as well. Are you looking forward to lossless music? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
