Apple Smart Keyboard gets 0/1 repairability rating by iFixit

The folks from iFixit are at it again, last week they tore down the Apple Pencil stylus open and now the Apple Smart Keyboard. How well did it go? Well, they aren’t impossible to be opened. But repairability wise, not so good.

According to iFixit, it’s not possible to fix the smart keyboard after you’ve opened it. None of the internal components can be replaced, but they did find some high tech fabric inside the body which makes it water and stain resistant; in other words quite durable. The pencil on the other hand, is also beyond repair if you spoil it. As it’s almost impossible to retrieve the battery without destroying the outer shell. So what does this mean? Be extra careful with your Apple devices! They don't come cheap, the keyboard costs $169 (RM711.07) and the pencil stylus costs $99 (RM416.54).
