Last night, Apple made a surprise announcement of the new iPad and iPad Pro. On top of that, there is also a new Apple TV 4K with an A15 Bionic chip and a starting price of RM699. But are there any more differences from its predecessor? Check it out below.

As aforementioned, the new Apple TV 4K is powered by the A15 Bionic chip that delivers faster performance. Apple said that the Apple TV 4K's CPU performance is now up to 50% faster than the previous generation, delivering more excellent responsiveness, faster navigation, and snappier UI animations. GPU performance is now up to 30% faster than the previous generation for even smoother gameplay.

In addition, HDR10+ support joins Dolby Vision for better and more vibrant colours intended by directors and artists. Users can also enjoy a home theatre experience with Dolby Atmos, Dolby Digital 7.1, or Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound for immersive audio. tvOS 16 will be coming soon later this year, and Siri on Apple TV features a complete redesign recognises each user's voice.

The thread mesh networking protocol can connect even more smart home accessories, and twice the storage for apps and games (128GB). While there's no availability yet for Malaysians, customers can order the new Apple TV 4K with Siri Remote soon in either RM699 (WiFi, 64GB) or RM799 (WiFi + Ethernet, 128GB).
