It's interesting how Apple has been working on a variety of prototypes in the last few years. Although the Apple Car may be on hold, the Apple AR glasses could be available in 2022. There's even a rumour about the company's VR headset, which could feature some crazy specs.

According to The Information (via The Verge), Apple's VR/AR headset could be available in 2022. However, sources working with the project have claimed that the product isn't designed for the average consumer. Allegedly, the headset will come with very advanced hardware. As a result, it'll be very expensive at approximately USD 3000 (~RM12212).

So, what kind of hardware will it pack? For one, the headset is expected to have two 8K displays. Interestingly, it won't be using the full 8K resolution constantly. To make it more dynamic, the headset will supposedly use eye-tracking with foveated rendering, which reduces GPU processing but maintains quality. There will also be LiDAR sensors that can map the user's surroundings and the headset's motion.

If this rumour is true, the headset could be meant more for professionals and VR developers. Of course, there's also the possibility that Apple could develop a consumer model. There's no news on that yet, but would you be interested in it? Let us know in the comments and stay tuned TechNave for future updates on that.
