The rumours regarding a new rugged Apple Watch Pro keep piling up. Today, we got another image showing the case of the upcoming smartwatch. Besides that, it also suggests that there would be additional physical buttons placed on the left-hand side of the screen.

The image comes from leaker Sonny Dickson, who shared a third-party band-and-casing accessory allegedly moulded for the forthcoming Apple Watch Pro. Since the Apple Watch Pro is said to be targeting outdoor goers, the addition of physical buttons could be for athletes and runners generally known to prefer physical buttons over touchscreen controls. It's said that buttons are more responsive in rainy and inclement weather conditions.

Furthermore, Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman mentions that this model should be more expensive than the standard Apple Watch Series 8. Previously, we saw the news saying that the Series 8 watches would bring satellite connectivity. As the Apple Watch Pro is said to be on the more high-end side, we believe it would also get the feature. Besides that, Gurman added that it should be compatible with older Apple Watch bands as well.
