We reported before that Apple is already working on its generative AI. It's quite possible for the AI to appear on iOS 18 but according to Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, Apple could be working with Google to have Gemini AI features for the next iPhone.

In the report, Apple is planning to leverage Gemini AI to empower some AI features for iOS 18. It's unclear if Apple has acquired the license yet but moreover, the company also had discussions with OpenAI to use GPT models. With that said, it implies that Apple is looking into automotive text speeches/writing and image generators for the iPhone.

We are expecting to see some new Apple AI news at the annual WWDC in June. With just three months away, it's quite a close window for the company to explore partnerships with others. Of course, Apple has already been working on its own AI features as reported. Bloomberg said the Generative AI is powering multiple internal and external tools as we speak.

Just so you know, the Samsung Galaxy S24 series is actually making use of Gemini AI. One of the coolest features that it has is removing an unwanted subject in a photo, as well as translating a text to another foreign language. We shall wait and see what Apple has up its sleeve.
