Apple iPhone 12 series that are 'Made in India' will be available starting from 2021

As the launch of the Apple iPhone 12 series is getting closer and closer, many of us are wondering if the devices are going to make it without any further delay. Although the first batch of iPhone 12 series might still facing production delay, it has been reported that Apple is preparing to assemble the devices in India that are for the middle of next year.

It is said that the brand has already started assembling the iPhone 11 at the Foxconn unit near Chennai, and it will be the first top model to be manufactured in the country. Other than that, the production of the iPhone SE (2020) is also expected to begin in the country by the end of this year. Therefore, some of us might be getting the new iPhones that are labelled 'Made in India' in the future.

Furthermore, Apple's Taiwanese manufacturer Wistron has also invested Rs 2,900 crores (~RM1.6 million) in a new facility that is located near Bengaluru. The manufacturer has started the recruitment process to hire 10,000 employees in a phased manner. Currently, there are already approximately 1,000 workers at work. The manufacturing facility will be fully operational from October and it may be dedicated only for production of the anticipated iPhone 12 series.
