Other than a new chipset and other latest impressive features, it looks like one of the accessories for the Apple iPhone 12 series will get a makeover too. Earlier, a rumour suggested that the iPhone 12 will include a new braided Lightning to USB-C cable in the box. Now, several images of the cable have been leaked giving us a clear look at the charging accessory.

The image shows a braided fabric Lightning to USB-C cable which is said to be more durable compared to the previous rubber-coated cables. Other than that, it was reported that the cable will feature eight silver contacts with rhodium-plated ruthenium, which is more resistant to corrosion.

Performance-wise, the cable will be supporting fast charging in compatible iPhones, providing a 50 percent charge within 30 minutes. Although the cable has been upgraded, it is not sure whether that the iPhone 12 would still come with a power adapter or not. It is mentioned that not including the power adapter can help the company to save costs. If you want to get the adapter, Apple may sell a new 20W power adapter on a standalone basis.
