In line with the Apple iPhone 15 series release, Apple have also revealed their iPhone 15 Pro series consisting of the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. Featuring a new A17 Pro chipset with 6-core GPU that can handle gaming console level titles, premium titanium chassis that is lighter and stronger than before, a USB-C port and a lot more, read on to see what else the iPhone 15 Pro series has to offer.
The most notable improvement is their latest A17 Pro chipset with a 6-core GPU which uses a 3nm fabrication process which should help lengthen battery life. Apple also showed off its capability to handle game console-level titles like Death Stranding and Resident Evil 4 Remake. While those were the ones on display, more such games are on the way as well.
In addition, both the Pro and Pro Max variant sports a titanium case with textured matte glass on the back. Unlike the standard and Plus units, this variant features a customizable Action button that can be switched to multiple functions by just pressing and holding it
As usual, the Pro offers a 6.1-inch display while the Pro Max uses a 6.7-inch display. Both use Super Retina XDR Always-On displays, and run ProMotion tech along with the Dynamic Island feature. Like the standard and Plus variants, the Pro series displays can also go up to 2000 nits outdoor brightness For the Pro series, their USB-C Ports support up to USB 3 for up to 20x faster transfers (allowing for external hard disk drive use as well).
Will we see more console games on the iPhone?
The triple rear cameras on the iPhone 15 Pro series are also a major feature with the 48MP main camera with OIS + 12MP telephoto with OIS and 3x optical zoom + 12MP ultrawide to go with a TOF 3D LiDAR scanner. According to Apple, they offer the ability to switch between 24mm, 28mm and 35mm with 4X more resolution. The iPhone 15 Pro Max also uses a tetraprism design for better stabilization alongside a 5x optical zoom at 120mm.
You can also take macro shots along with 48MP ProRAW shots. Like the standard iPhone 15 series, the iPhone 15 Pro series also incorporate improvements to Night Mode and Smart HDR while certain shots will also take depth information without having to switch to Portrait mode.
