The recent release of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge seems to signify a new trend towards thin and light smartphones, with Apple touted to follow suit with the iPhone 17 Air. However, the battery on the latter seems to be much smaller than the former, if a new leak is to be believed.
As reported by GSMArena, which sourced a blogpost by Naver, the iPhone 17 Air will sport a 2800mAh battery. For context, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge has a 3900mAh battery; both batteries are quite small in today's standards.
The report further claimed that the iPhone 17 Air is only 5.5mm in thickness and 145g in weight. However, the iPhone 17 Air, like the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, will reportedly not feature silicone carbon batteries as seen in many Chinese smartphones, which has a higher power density despite smaller sizes.
Of course, do take this with a grain of salt as nothing is confirmed just yet. Until further info is available, stay tuned to TechNave for more trending tech news.
