With the release of the 10th generation iPad and the M2-powered iPad Pro last week, the Apple iPad lineup is now more extensive yet confusing than ever. Well, if a new report is to be believed, the lineup will be getting even more extensive, as Apple may release a massive 16-inch iPad next year.
According to The Information, the upcoming iPad will be the largest-ever tablet that Apple ever produce and may be released in the fourth quarter of 2023. Currently, the iPad with the largest screen size is the 12.9-inch iPad Pro, which itself is too large for most people.
The alleged 16-inch iPad is likely aimed toward creative professionals such as graphic artists and designers which would benefit from the larger screen real estate for their respective work. Moreover, the 16-inch size is also interesting given how Apple also has a 16-inch MacBook Pro in its product catalogue, hence the potential release of this massive iPad will further blur the line between iPad and laptops.
However, do take this information with a grain of salt as nothing is confirmed as of yet. Nevertheless, it’d be intriguing to see how a massive iPad would fit in Apple’s already confusing tablet lineup.
