Previously, we reported that Apple may be working on a 15-inch MacBook Air, the first laptop in the Mac lineup to feature that display size. Now, more details have emerged about the product, including its processor and potential release date.
According to Digi Times, a Taiwan-based supply chain publication, the 15-inch MacBook Air will be powered by the M2 chip similar to the 13-inch MacBook Air released last year. Moreover, the publication also claimed that the laptop will be released in the second quarter of 2023, meaning it could hit the shelves as early as this April.
Digi Times quoted industry sources which alleged that mass production for the 15-inch MacBook Air has already begun since the end of the Chinese New Year celebrations last month. This is also consistent with display industry analyst Ross Young’s tweet claiming that Apple’s supply chain has already started production of display panels for the laptop earlier this month.
Of course, do take this information with a grain of salt as nothing is confirmed as of yet. Well, we just have to wait a couple of months to find out for sure.
