Earlier, we have come across rumours saying that Apple would reveal the first batch of MacBooks that come with ARM-based processors at the upcoming WWDC event. Other than laptops, iMac with a new design is expected to be announced at the event as well. Besides the new design, Apple's desktop computer will also get a technology that is featured on iPhones and iPads for quite some time, and it's the Face ID.

Before the event happens, several leaks about the next-generation iMac have already popped up on the internet. One of them indicates that the next iMac will come with the 3D face recognition system after a twitter user found a file named FaceID.plist that shows support for iOS, tvOS, and macOS. The other leaks will be focusing on the design as it is said that the new iMac will be using iPad Pro's design language.

Bringing Face ID to iMac doesn't really surprise us as the company has been actively using the technology in the other categories of products. As many Windows devices have turned to face recognition systems for security, it is time for Apple's desktop computer to change as well. However, take the rumour with a pinch of salt as the company hasn't officially announced that they will be making the move.
