The launch event for the Apple iPhone 12 series hasn't even been announced, yet the devices are getting a lot of attention lately. By just focusing on the launch delay, it was already enough for us to write a bunch of articles in the past few months. Other than the delay, there are also the tech specs and feature leaks that our readers (including us) love to see. Today, it is reported that Apple might cut down the costs of other components from the iPhone 12 series to complement the cost of 5G.

The news came from the famous Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. He stated that Apple is trying to cut down the costs of other components from the iPhone 12 series to offset the rising costs of 5G technology. It is mentioned that the cost of 5G could increase the price of the iPhone 12 series by 125 to 135 USD (~RM522 to ~RM564). Therefore, consumers can still be getting new iPhones without a dramatic price increase in the near future if it is true.

Besides that, it is mentioned that the component that is most likely to be cut down cost would be the battery board. The analyst claimed that the hybrid board for the iPhone 12 will be 40-50% cheaper than the equivalent part in the iPhone 11 line. Next year, the iPhone 12s series could have been 30-40% more affordable than the board found in the iPhone 12.
