New Promotional Pricing Starts From RM74.90
Beginning 1 May 2026, customers subscribing to the Astro One Entertainment Pack can enjoy promotional pricing from RM74.90, while the Astro One Sports Pack is offered at RM94.90. Both bundles include access to Netflix, Astro GO streaming access on up to two devices simultaneously, and complimentary access to Astro’s newly introduced Blockbuster Pack for 24 months.
A major addition to the refreshed bundles is the Blockbuster Pack, which introduces four newly launched channels, including Astro Showtime, Astro FAM Time, Rock Action, and Rock X Stream. Customers subscribing through Plug and Play installation can also enjoy free setup, while standard installation carries a RM50 fee. All quoted pricing excludes SST.
Astro Responding to Malaysia’s Streaming Competition?
May has not been a good month for Astro. Just earlier this month, the company lost the broadcasting rights for the FIFA World Cup 2026 after 20 years. Instead, Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil confirmed that Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) and Unifi TV have been appointed as the official broadcasters.
On the other hand, it was only recently that RTM announced the end of its partnership with Astro. Starting on 1 July 2026, RTM channels, such as TV1 HD, TV2 HD, and Okey, will officially leave Astro. In RTM's statement, it was said that both parties could not come to a satisfying agreement due to rising costs. With this, it marks the end of nearly 30 years of their collaboration.
