It was only yesterday that JPJ announced that BJAK is not authorised to provide road tax renewal services in Malaysia or impose extra fees, but that didn't keep BJAK from breaking the silence. A few hours ago, the company just gave an update on their status in responding to JPJ.

In a short post by BJAK, the company stated that its road tax service is operating as usual and it's now FREE of charge to all BJAK customers. BJAK also stated that its road tax is an optional service for all customers, as its main service is offering comparison and renewal of motor vehicle insurance, accompanied by a VIP service.

Additionally, BJAK said the service is free as part of an initiative to make reforms easier. In comparison to other platforms, they usually charge from RM3 to RM11 for renewal services. It should be noted that BJAK's free road tax campaign is part of its private initiatives aimed at increasing customer value and is not related to any government mandate.

To end the statement, BJAK also acknowledges the issues raised by JPJ and is actively working with the authorities to help improve the experience for all vehicle owners in Malaysia.
