June has been a relatively interesting yet quiet month. We've seen new TVs, smartphones, and even a gaming handheld console. But there hasn't been anything worth noting in the mobile postpaid space. Of course, there are still some changes, so check out our recommendations for mobile postpaid plans for those on a budget in June 2023.

Best postpaid options under RM60

This time, the under RM60/month category sees zero change. As such, we'll maintain the recommendations we gave out last month. Those who want an affordable option can consider the Yes Power 35 plan, which offers 100GB of 4G/5G data for just RM35/month. In addition, Yes still has a 6-month RM20 rebate for those who port over from a different service.

Another good option is the Digi Postpaid 60 plan that gives you 50GB (30GB + bonus 20GB) for the first 12 months. You can also opt for an additional 10GB for the first 12 months or enjoy unlimited streaming/social media/gaming. If you're porting out of your current telco, and want to try a new service without a contract, the Unifi Uni5G Postpaid 65 is a decent alternative.

  • Digi Postpaid 60 (RM60/month) - 50GB 4G data (30GB + bonus 20GB for first 12 months), free 5G booster, unlimited calls, RM0.10/SMS, free 10GB data OR unlimited streaming/social media/gaming for 12 months
  • U Mobile U Postpaid 38 (RM38/month) - 60GB 4G/5G data, unlimited calls, ultra hotspot 5G
  • Unifi Uni5G Postpaid 65 (RM55/month) - 60GB 4G/5G data, unlimited calls, 10GB wireless hotspot, RM0.15/SMS, no contract
  • Yes Power 35 (RM35/month) - 100GB 4G/5G data, uncapped speed, unlimited calls
  • Yes Infinite Basic (RM58/month) - Unlimited 4G/5G, uncapped speed, unlimited calls, 20GB wireless hotspot

Best postpaid options under RM100

For plans under RM100/month, there were a few changes to Celcom and Maxis. With the former, you'll get an additional 10GB of data to go with the 50GB offered. This RM80/month plan is also eligible for a free 5G upgrade. But this deal is only available if you apply before 30 June 2023, so you might want to hurry if you want to sign up.

As for Maxis, the prices haven't changed either. However, the telco is offering an extra 30GB of data or a free 5G smartphone this month. Besides that, the other plans remain the same. The U Mobile Postpaid 98 still has the most data cap at 1000GB, which is great if the network covers your area. Otherwise, we suggest the Digi Postpaid 90, as it now has a free 100GB data upgrade and other bonuses.

  • Celcom MEGA Lightning 80 (RM80/month) - 50GB high-speed data, unlimited calls, RM0.20/SMS, free 1x VR content, free 1-month Blacknut Cloud Gaming, free 5G access (limited time), bonus 10GB data (in-store sign up only)
  • Celcom MEGA Unlimited 98 (RM98/month) - Unlimited HD video/gaming/music, unlimited calls, RM0.20/SMS, 15GB wireless hotspot
  • Digi Postpaid 90 (RM90/month) - 60GB 4G data (50GB+ bonus 10GB for first 12 months), free 5G booster, unlimited calls, free 300 SMS, free upgrade to 100GB data, free RM100 Touch 'n GO eWallet credit, free 10GB data OR unlimited streaming/social media/gaming for 12 months
  • Maxis Postpaid 98 (RM98/month) - 60GB high-speed data, unlimited calls, unlimited SMS, 24-month RM20 rebate, unlimited data roaming (RM29/day), free 30GB data OR discount on 5G smartphones
  • U Mobile U Postpaid 98 (RM98/month) - 1000GB high-speed data (4G/5G), unlimited calls, ultra hotspot 5G, free incoming calls when abroad
  • Unifi Uni5G Postpaid 89 (RM89/month) - Unlimited 4G/5G data (FUP), unlimited calls, 10GB wireless hotspot, no contract, discounts for 5G phones
  • Yes Infinite Standard (RM88/month) - Unlimited 4G/5G, uncapped speed, unlimited calls, 50GB wireless hotspot
