According to a new report, Onward Mobility could be ready to develop new 5G smartphones this year. Interestingly, the company's announcement isn't an actual product launch. Instead, it has started a "Pre-Commitment Program" to engage with users and gauge the level of interest for its smartphones.
Those who subscribe to this mailing list will get dibs on updates about the company's new products and details on their features. Also, they can influence the development of features and functionality in upcoming BlackBerry devices. Finally, they will get to pre-order and receive new smartphones ahead of the general public. But like last year's announcement, this one promises much but doesn't offer any detail on products.
