As expected, Lenovo is ready to unleash a new batch of 2022 Legion gaming laptops. There are a total of four models announced - the Lenovo Legion 5i Pro, Legion 5 ProLegion 5i and Legion 5. We reviewed one of these bad boys before last year and it was a powerful beast. So what can we expect this year? Check them out below.

In case you didn't know, the Legion 5 series is known for having a 16-inch display. With this in mind, the Legion 5 Pro series is the world’s first 16-inch laptop series with a WQHD+ up to 240Hz adaptive refresh rate. It also supports a 100% sRGB colour gamut, up to 3ms response time, up to VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification, up to 500 nits of brightness, Dolby Vision and NVIDIA G-SYNC.

Furthermore, you can get either up to the 12th Gen Intel Core i7-12700H processor or next-gen AMD Ryzen processors accompanied by the latest GeForce RTX 30 Series Laptop GPU. The memory are high-end with expanded bandwidth from 4800Mhz DDR5 memory and up to 1TB PCle SSD (Gen4) storage.

As for the non-pro series, the Legion 5i laptop with up to 12th Gen Intel Core i7-12700H processor and the Legion 5 with next-gen AMD Ryzen processors are equipped with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 GPU. Lenovo said that the cooling system on these two laptops is thermally more efficient and quieter – offering a 40% more powerful fan with a larger exhaust fan area that’s 45% larger than its previous generation.

Also not to forget, they feature up to 15-inch WQHD (2560 x 1440) IPS 16:9 display with up to a 165Hz refresh rate, 100% sRGB colour gamut at 300 nits bright, and full-spectrum visuals with Dolby Vision. Consumer gamers with Lenovo PCs, including the Lenovo Legion 5i and Lenovo Legion 5 laptop, can get up to three months free of Microsoft Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, including EA Play. Hopefully, we can see this feature in Malaysia too.
