
As a PC brand, Lenovo had plenty to show off at this year's CES. Besides the new Lenovo Legion Go series handheld PCs, the company unveiled six new gaming laptops featuring NVIDIA's latest RTX 5000 series GPUs. Here are some basic details of these new Legion Pro and Legion series laptops.
The Legion Pro series gets a refresh to three models - the Legion Pro 7i, Legion Pro 5i, and Legion Pro 5. The first two have Intel-based CPUs, with configuration options including the top-tier Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor. In contrast, the Legion Pro 5 packs AMD's Ryzen 9 9955HX processor.

In terms of graphical prowess, the Legion Pro 7i is the most powerful with its GeForce RTX 5090 laptop GPU. The Legion Pro 5i and Legion Pro 5 are equipped with the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5070 laptop GPUs, respectively. As for displays, all three models will have an "up to 16-inch" WQXGA OLED display with 2560x1600 resolution. However, the Legion Pro 7i's display will support a refresh rate of 240Hz, while the other two only support up to 165Hz.
Moving on, there are upgrades to the Legion 7i, Legion 5i, and Legion 5 laptops. The first two models have mostly the same specs as the Pro models but only come with the GeForce RTX 5070 laptop GPU. As for the Legion 5, it has a CPU configuration of up to the AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 and a GeForce RTX 5070 laptop GPU.

The only model with a confirmed local price is the Lenovo Legion Pro 7i, which will have a starting retail price of RM15999 in Malaysia. It's expected to launch around the end of March 2025. Prices and availability of the other models have not been announced.
