For budding and semi-pro photographers, a new camera is now available for your arsenal. The Canon EOS M5 is the company’s latest mirrorless camera, and it packs quite a punch in features that any photographer would want.

It has a 24.2-megapixel CMOS APS-C sensor in the body paired with the DIGIC 7 image processor – similar to the one installed in the Canon EOS 80D. It also has Dual Pixel technology for fast and accurate focusing with the autofocus system. It still uses the EF-M mount lenses, so previous lenses launched by Canon can be used without any problems on the M5.

For composing, it can be done through the 2.36-million dot electronic view finder, and the 3.2-inch 1.62M-dot touchscreen tilt screen that tilts up by 85° and downward by 180°. Connectivity wise it comes with the usual modern basket of radios – NFC, WiFi and even Bluetooth for continuous connection with your smart device.

Price wise the Canon EOS M5 will go on sale by November worldwide, and will be priced at USD 979 (~RM 4048) for the body, paired with the EF-M 15-45mm F3.5-6.3 IS STM for USD1099 (~RM 4544) or with the EF-M 18-150mm F3.5-6.3 IS STM for USD1479(~RM 6116) in December)
