Previously, we reported that the Nothing Phone (2) will launch later this year and in the US first. Now, the company’s CEO Carl Pei has teased another information regarding the Phone (1)’s successor, confirming that it will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 series chipset.

This was confirmed by Pei in an interview with TechCrunch at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2023 in Barcelona. However, the Nothing CEO didn’t actually reveal which Snapdragon 8 series would be used.

Nevertheless, given that the Snapdragon 8 series is the flagship mobile CPU lineup from Qualcomm, it means that the Phone (2) would be a more premium device compared to the Phone (1) which was aimed at the mid-range segment. Who knows, maybe Nothing can become a flagship killer brand. Well, as the former CEO of OnePlus, Pei certainly has the experience to guide Nothing in that direction.
