There have been some significant developments in the rollout of the 5G network in Malaysia recently. Previously, we reported that the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) is meeting today on Digital Nasional Berhad’s (DNB) terms of the 5G agreement and now, it look like Celcom is ready to offer 5G network trials for its users as early as next month.
As reported by The Vibes, Celcom Axiata Bhd CEO Datuk Mohamad Idham Nawawi has confirmed that the company has now integrated 5G connectivity at 1000 of its telecommunications sites nationwide. In fact, he even revealed that the company has already launched 5G trials by its staff in Kuala Lumpur.
Mohamad Idham then asserted, “God willing, if there are no hindrances and everything runs smoothly, we can bring our customers on board to try 5G service in September as well,”. Hence, if you’re a Celcom customer, do look out for any announcement by the company next month.
