First introduced in 2023, Circle to Search is a feature that lets you circle an image on your phone to initiate a Google search. Previously, it was exclusive to Google Pixel and Samsung Galaxy devices. But soon, that will no longer be the case.
Recently, Mishaal Rahman (@MishaalRahman) reported that Google is expanding Circle to Search to more Android devices. Smartphone reviewers have spotted the feature in the TECNO Phantom V Fold 2, which we first saw in a sneak peek last month. According to these sources, Circle to Search will be available on these devices in October.
Google is reportedly planning to expand Circle to Search to more Android phones next month, ending the feature's exclusivity for Pixel and Samsung phones.

This news is in line with a report from earlier this year. At the time, it was rumoured that Circle to Search wouldn't remain exclusive forever. Specifically, the timed exclusivity was expected to end by October. It's unknown if older Android devices would get the update or if it's limited to new upcoming devices.
Hopefully, Android phones that are only 1-2 years old would still get the update. Circle to Search is a convenient feature, so it would be great to see more users have access to it. But what do you think, and is it a feature you would regularly use? Let us know in the comments and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
