If you're active on social media, you've probably heard about Clubhouse by now. If you haven't, you can get an overview of it here. Anyway, the app has taken the world by storm, but it was only available for iOS users thus far. Fortunately, an Android version should be on the way.

According to CNBC, Clubhouse has hired Android software developer Mopewa Ogundipe to create an Android version of the app. For those who are unaware, Clubhouse is a social media audio app. It lets you send audio messages to your friends or broadcast them publically, kind of like an audio version of Twitter.

Before this, only iOS users could download the app via invites. Despite that, it has accrued over 8.1 million users since its popularity exploded. Since some Malaysians prefer to send audio messages, the app has also become fairly popular here. An Android version would increase the user count dramatically, though it may not be ready anytime soon.

With that said, have you been able to try Clubhouse yet? What are your thoughts on the app so far? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned to TechNave for updates on the Android version.
