Debit transaction notifications will come from the Maybank2u app instead of an SMS from December 2020 onwards

Starting from 3 December 2020, Maybank Malaysia will no longer send any SMS notifications to your smartphone. So whenever you make a Debit Card transaction, the notification will be sent to your Maybank2u (or M2U MY) app instead.

With that being said, you will need to activate the Push Notification on your iPhone and Android phone. It's so that you won't miss receiving any alert notifications from the M2U MY app (duh). Anyway, all you need to do is go to your iPhone or Android phone setting -> search for the Maybank app -> select "Notification" and then choose to allow, enable or switch on the notification.

On the other hand, you can also choose to turn on the push notification for any promotion from the Maybank app. Just login into your app, click the menu on the top left and select "ME", then just swipe right to turn on (or off if you don't want to). By the way, the MAE app will replace the M2U MY app eventually so do read about it to keep yourself prepared.
