Earlier this week, Nintendo finally announced another new model to the Switch console series. While it's not the Pro model that's been rumoured for months, the OLED model does come with some upgrades. One of them is a new dock that will be available in black or white colours.

The Switch OLED model will be accompanied by a new dock with an Ethernet port for wired Internet connection. According to Digital Trend, Nintendo won't just be including this dock inside the box for the OLED Switch. It'll also be sold separately, which gives you the option of getting it for the current Switch models. And yes, the new dock will work with the current models.

The new OLED model will also have 64GB of built-in storage and improved speakers. But besides the above, not too much has been changed. Sure, it's a little heavier (320g vs 290g). However, it's still using the same CPU and amount of RAM. So strictly speaking, this isn't the Nintendo Switch Pro or 4K that many fans wanted.

In other words, this is most likely an interim model. A Switch Pro could still be on the cards, so we can still look forward to it. Maybe we'll hear about it next year, what do you think? Share your thoughts in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
