As we approach the end of March, there was an official announcement on the Movement Control Order in terms of security. According to @MINDEFMalaysia, they have released some important rules for every Malaysian to play in this period. Here are the Phase 2 details of what to expect that will start on 1 April 2020.

Prior to the announcement today, we already know most of the stores will only operate from 8AM - 8PM and this shall continue in Phase 2, this includes petrol stations across the nation. In addition to public transportation and e-hailing services (like Grab), they are only allowed to operate from 6AM - 10PM daily. Moreover, this goes without saying but leisure activities are strictly prohibited in public and even private areas. So no partying, no singing-k, not even visiting your friend's house unless if there's an emergency.

Despite that, the government allows autistic and disabled people to receive therapy as per usual, but not in groups. Finally, they have also fixed the ceiling price of 3-ply face masks to RM1.50 per piece (read about it from our news post here). All of these will begin from 1 April 2020.

That's all folks, please adhere to the rules and if we do it right, we probably won't need another MCO extension. You can read more about the new rules such as road blockages on their Twitter page.
