EMUI 9.1 update will be available on the Huawei Mate 20 series

If you happen to own a Huawei Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, Mate 20 X and the Mate RS Porsche Design smartphone, Huawei Malaysia has just announced that these flagship models will be able to upgrade its OS to EMUI 9.1 with a new EROFS feature on 27 June 2019 onwards.

According to Huawei, EROFS is a new file system that helps to improve file compression as well as having higher random read performance, yet reducing power consumption at the same time. Aside from that, Huawei is also adding GPU Turbo 3.0 which now supports 25 games which includes PUBG Mobile, Mobile Legends Bang Bang, Arena of Valor and more. On top of that, Moon Mode will also be added to the camera software system.

Other minor upgrades include a new "incoming call video show" that will replace the traditional ring tone (optional). You can even set your own made video call for different contacts as you wish. Below is the complete list of future Huawei phone updates:

All new updates are available to download at the settings. The rollout should take time so stay tuned for that.
