The Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) has announced that its services will be fully restored at noon today after a temporary disruption had affected all of its branches and online EPF i-Akaun services since yesterday. Taking to its official Facebook page, the statutory body apologised for any inconvenience caused and thanked members for their patience.

Previously, we reported that EPF has been experiencing a system outage since the early morning of 15 December 2022. The outage affected all the service systems at its branches nationwide, the EPF i-Akaun web access for employees and employers as well as overall access to the EPF i-Akaun app.

Moreover, in another post yesterday, EPF announced that it is extending the deadline for employers to submit the EPF contribution for their employees for this month in lieu of the outage. The new due date would be on 30 December 2022 instead of the usual due date of the 15th day of the month.

The cause of the outage is still unknown as EPF did not specify any reason behind the disruption. Well, whatever it is, let’s hope that the issue would be rectified soon.
