Last week, Epic Games finally bit the bullet and released Fortnite on the Google Play Store. With the move, the mobile version of the game is now available for all smartphone users. This served as the perfect lead up to the FCNS Invitational, which is a Fortnite tournament that will begin next month.

Epic Games made the announcement recently and confirmed that the event will be held over three weekends, starting from 9 May 2020 (next Saturday). The event will see a total of 500 players invited to the event, with four groups of 100 players from different regions and another 100 to be invited by Epic Games. This will be a solo competition and Epic Games will be using a new scoring format.

Open qualifiers will commence this weekend (2 May 2020) for all players with the rank of Champion. The official announcement states that these regional qualifiers will allow an additional 100 of the top players in each region to receive an invite to the tournament. That would mean even more players will be competing for that massive USD 2 million (~RM8.72 million) prize pool.
