With the on-going Movement Control Order, Facebook have announced some good news for all the people working at home. If you happen to use Facebook Messenger a lot, the company are launching a Messenger app for both macOS and Windows users. But hold on, what's the difference between this Messenger app and the browser?
Perhaps the biggest difference is that the desktop version comes with an unlimited and free group video calls. Although you can do that on your mobile phone already, the browser version is rather clunky and you can have group video calls on a larger screen. From the short promo video, your Messenger on the mobile phone will be in-sync with the desktop version so even if you're away, you won't miss a call or message. Did I also mention that it has Dark Mode and GIFs? Nice.
If that sounds good to you, you may visit messenger.com/desktop and get started on your macOS or Windows. Stay tuned for more Apple news at TechNave.com.
