As you already noticed, now more people have time to surf online thanks to the Movement Control Order. But because of that, there's also more information than before particularly about COVID-19 and that may make some Facebook users "tired'. So to solve this problem, the company is trying out a new Quiet Mode for people who needs a break on social media.

It's not uncommon to hear some of your friends and family "fasting" on the Internet, due to the need to concentrate on studying or trying to stay away from the negativity (mental health issues from comparing the good life). Anyway, if you would like to test out Quiet Mode, you can just go to your settings menu then tap on Your Time on Facebook. The Manage Your Time tab will appear and that's where you can see Quiet Mode where you can set the amount of time manually.

Besides that, Facebook is also working on some new tools for Manage Your Time, this includes the number of times you used the app within a week and comparing to your usage from the previous week, as well as day time vs night time. Meanwhile, the company is also testing a method to hide "likes" on a post.

Just so you know, Quiet Mode is only available on the Apple iPhone for now and it's rolling out globally as we speak. For Android users, Facebook said the new feature will be released in May. But what do you think of this mode? Is this what you've been waiting for? Stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
