Update - The COVID-19 Information Centre has rolled out to Malaysia!

While businesses are either closing temporarily or minimizing human contact with "Contactless Delivery", Facebook has announced a new Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information Centre on their mobile app. The new update will take some time to roll out, but here's what we know about the feature so far.

If you already got the update, you will see the new feature appearing on top of your News Feed. As the name suggests, it serves as a central place of information for everyone to receive the latest update and information about the outbreak, which comes from various national health authorities and global organizations such as the World Health Organization. Besides that, the feature will also provide resources and tips in article, video and short posts format about looking after your hygiene and how to prevent spreading COVID-19.

The COVID-19 Information Centre will start to roll out in the US first, then followed by Italy, France, Germany, Spain, the UK within the next 24 hours. Of course, Facebook is planning to expand it further to more countries like Malaysia in the coming days so do keep a lookout.
