Looking for a fitness smartwatch? There are many options nowadays, making it hard to pick the best. But if you want what's arguably among the best, the Fitbit Charge series is probably the one to go for. And you know what? The company just launched its latest model.

It's been a while since we've seen a new Fitbit Charge smartband. The last one, the Fitbit Charge 5, was launched in Malaysia in 2021. Now, the Fitbit Charge 6 was unveiled for the global market. The new model sports a 1.04-inch colour AMOLED display that supports Always-On Display (AOD). The body is made of aluminium, glass and resin, making it feel robust and providing 5 ATM water-proof. For controls, you use the haptic side button on the right.

The Fitbit Charge 6 packs an updated optical sensor, which pairs new electrical sensors and Google's machine learning algorithms (possibly Bard?) for 60% more accurate heart-rate tracking. Fitbit also includes blood oxygen (SpO2) level detection, ECG to check your heart's condition, sleep tracking, skin temperature reading, over 40 exercise modes, and more. For location tracking, you get built-in GPS and GLONASS. Moreover, it supports YouTube Music controls, Google Maps turn-by-turn navigation, and Google Wallet payments via NFC.

This new Fitbit Charge 6 is priced at USD 160 (~RM752) and is available in Obsidian, Coral, and Porcelain colours. There's no news of it coming to Malaysia, but the previous models all launched here, so we can expect the same to happen to this.
