The disruption to events and product launches has been rampant during this COVID-19 pandemic. But Apple's upcoming 5G iPhones might not be delayed after all with Foxconn reassuring investors that things should be on schedule. From the hints, it's believed that the iPhone 12 series can still make it for the usual September launch.

According to Bloomberg, Foxconn Technology Group's investor relations chief Alex Yang made the reassurance during a private conference call. He said that the first trial assembly lines will start in June 2020. Although Foxconn is based in Taiwan, the manufacturer's factories are located mostly in China, which was hit hard by the pandemic. Since then, most of its factory workers have resumed work.

Foxconn investor relations chief Alex Yang said that the manufacturer is hard at work with its customers' engineers to make up for the lost time. Of course, this depends on the global COVID-19 situation as well. If the situation doesn't deteriorate, Foxconn should be able to catch up to the given schedule and start shipping the phones during the Holiday 2020 season.

However, Foxconn also pointed out that its statements don't refer to a particular product or customer. However, it's still reasonable to believe that the Apple iPhone 12 could be on schedule.
