As more people turn to video conferencing to hold meetings, companies are doing more to improve or highlight their versions of such software. Google has also been working on its video conferencing software, which has recently been renamed to Google Meet. Moreover, Google has made it so you can now access Google Meet via Gmail.
G Suite users can now start or join video meetings directly from their Gmail Inbox. It's a convenient and simple way to seamlessly switch between using your email and attending video meetings. Of course, G Suite is a business-edition of Google's online services and is used mostly by educational institutions, businesses, and government authorities.

Google Meet is also adding custom layouts similar to Zoom's for large meetings of up to 16 participants, according to Reuters. It is also supposed to be able to improve video quality in low-light conditions, as well as filtering background noises like your fan or sound of your keyboard. Additionally, meetings will be secure and will be encrypted, so users won't have to worry too much about privacy.
For companies that already have access to G Suite, Google Meet is probably a better platform to hold meetings rather than Zoom. But having said that, what video meeting platform have you been relying on in the past few weeks? Let us know on our Facebook page and stay tuned to TechNave.com for more news.
