If you recall, Garmin launched the high-end Venu smartwatch for sports enthusiasts last year. We even got to try it for a few weeks before reviewing it. It was overall pretty good, but its successor - the Venu 2 series - promises to be even better.

Recently, Garmin officially unveiled the Venu 2 and Venu 2S on its website. The former is 45mm in size and features a 1.3-inch display with a resolution of 416 x 416. On the other hand, the Venu 2S is smaller at 40mm, with a 1.1-inch display that has a resolution of 360 x 360. The new models also have a water resistance rated at 5 ATM.

In terms of hardware, the new models come with a much larger battery capacity than before. Garmin says that the Venu 2 can last up to 11 days in smartwatch mode, while the Venu 2S can last around 10 days. Besides that, the new models come with the Elevate V4 heart-rate sensor and a new High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) mode.

If you're interested, you can find out more about the new models here. In any case, we expect these to be launched in Malaysia eventually, due to the company's presence here. With that said, would you be interested in getting one? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for further updates.
