So while both phones look nearly identical from each other and its predecessor as well, the main highlight will have to be its camera. Google decided not to join the trend of having dual cameras and sticking just a single sensor, with 12MP as the main sensor with an aperture of f/1.8, 1.4um, OIS and EIS which is probably why it got such a high DxO mark. There's also a dual pixel phase detection and machine learning pre-installed, along with Google Lens that lets you point at an object and tells you what it is.

The Pixel siblings are also using Active Edge feature which was seen on the HTC U11, if you've lived under the rock, the feature simply allows users to squeeze the phone and execute quick shortcuts. The 3.5mm headphone jack port is gone as well, but the box comes with a US Type-C to 3.5mm headphone adapter cable. As for the eSIM feature, it's basically used for Google Fi and other carriers which probably isn't applicable in Malaysia (#sadpanda). On the bright side, there is a dedicated security chip inside to protect against sneaky malware and hardware attacks.

For price and availability, the Pixel 2 will launch first on 17 October 2017 with a price of $650 (~RM2749) in Kinda Blue, Just Black and Clearly White. The Pixel 2 XL will come at a later date in mid-November for $850 (~RM3595) in Just Black and Black & White. No pre-orders for Malaysia side, though.
