After Google announced its Pixel 6 series back in early August, many thought the devices would be expensive. Not only the Pixel 6 will be utilizing a new in-house chip, but several other tech specs also sound like they cost a lot. However, the latest price leak has revealed that the Pixel 6 would be much cheaper than the Apple iPhone 13.
Preorder details from a German retailer show that the vanilla Google Pixel 6 will cost only €649 (~RM3,137) in Europe, with free Bose headphones. Meanwhile, the current 128GB iPhone 13 costs €899 (~RM4,346) in the same country. Other than the Pixel 6, the source also mentions that the Pro variant is likely to have a price tag of €899 (~RM4,346), which is basically the same price as the standard iPhone 13.
Last year, the Pixel 5 only cost €629 (~RM3,043), but it's not worth comparing it with the iPhone 12 side by side as it's not a flagship considering its tech specs. Since Google is returning to the flagship market, it makes sense for people to compare the price of an Android flagship to Apple's. Unsurprisingly, the result shows that iPhone is expensive after all.
