At the Google I/O 2022 event, multiple tech presentations were announced. This includes the Google Pixel Watch which has been rumoured about a few weeks prior to the event. It should be noted that this is Google's ever the first smartwatch under the Pixel brand so read on below to know more.

At first glance, the Pixel Watch is a pretty unique smartwatch because it has a pure circular and thin design alongside a crown on the right side. The display is all curved inside that gives it a premium look, as well as has a simple default watch face with a heart rate monitor below. Of course, the watch is using Wear OS with improved UI with more fluid navigations and notifications.

If you happen to use Google Maps a lot, you'd be pleased to know that the map can be used directly on the Pixel Watch without your phone around. On top of that, Google Wallet can also be used as a convenient eWallet method, although that's not likely going to happen in Malaysia anytime soon. All in all, you can do a lot of tasks on the Pixel Watch like adjusting your smart home devices and more.

As a smartwatch, you can expect some health functions on the Pixel Watch and Google wasted no time in announcing its partnership with Fitbit. Heart rate tracking, sleep monitoring, Active Zone mins, and many working outmodes and stats for you to check.

Google said the Pixel Watch will be arriving this fall (from the end of September 2022 onwards) alongside the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. That said, we may never see it coming here in Malaysia because we aren't in their market target segment (lol). But what do you think of the watch?
