Google Stadia now available on iOS devices through the web

The policy changes to the Apple App Store has been an inconvenience for a few companies. Back in August, Apple announced that Google Stadia wasn't allowed on the App Store due to a certain policy. But it looks like Google has finally got a workaround that will bring the platform to iOS.

According to XDA Developers, you'll now be able to get access to Google Stadia on your iPhone or iPad. However, there's no official app to go with it yet due to the App Store restriction. Instead, you have to connect to the service via the Safari web browser. You will be able to add a shortcut to your home screen, which functions as a web app.

Of course, a dedicated app is not completely out of the picture. Google has confirmed that the iOS version of the app is still in the works, but iOS users will have to use the web app method for now. It does have some drawbacks too, as some Stadia features may not be available or work properly.

Google Stadia is currently not available in Malaysia, though you could probably access it if you use a VPN service. Regardless, our Internet services here probably aren't good enough for cloud gaming yet. But what do you think? Let us know in the comments and stay tuned to TechNave for more news.
