AmBank has announced that its credit cards in Malaysia can now be linked with Google Wallet. As such makes it the 5th bank to support Google Wallet in our country after CIMB, Hong Leong, HSBC and Standard Chartered.
Besides that, Google Wallet is also supported for Bonuslink’s virtual loyalty card and the prepaid card Wise. On its official website, AmBank says that all AmBank and AmBank Islamic cards are supported on Google Wallet except for the UnionPay credit card and the Mastercard debit card.
Furthermore, the same card can be added to up to 10 devices and as for supplementary cards, it needs to be added to Google Wallet separately.
In order to link your AmBank credit card to Google Wallet, you just need to open the app, tap ‘Add to Wallet’ and follow the instructions. Verify your card and that’s it.
To make payments, you just need to unlock your smartphone and hold it near the reader. The checkmark appears when the payment is successful. Of course, make sure NFC on your device is turned on.
