Google has made Featured Snippets clickable, will lead straight to highlighted sections

When you use Google search all the time, it's hard to notice changes unless it's very obvious. But it seems like an upcoming update will bring a new feature that will be very noticeable. Google's next update to its search engine will see an upgrade to Featured Snippets.

In case you're wondering what it is, a Featured Snippet is a length of text that will appear with the top result of your search. According to The Verge, the new update will make the snippets clickable. Once you've clicked on it, you'll be led to the web page you clicked and the part where the snippet originated from will be highlighted in yellow. This can be useful if you're searching for specific keywords or information.

Let's use an example to better illustrate. For example, let's search for "asus tuf a15 review technave". As you can see, a link to our review of the ASUS TUF Gaming A15 is the top result and a more lengthy snippet of text appears along with it. By clicking on this link, you'll not only be directed to our review, but you'll also see the snippet in question highlighted.

Google has been working on this feature since 2018 and it's finally going live. You could do a random Google search now to try it for yourself. For those who've already tried this, what do you think of the feature? Let us know on our Facebook page and stay tuned to TechNave.com for more news like this.
