Besides the New Password Protections by Google, the company is introducing Web Stories to Discover for both Android and iOS users. If Instagram story is the first that comes into your mind, well...that's exactly how Web Stories work. The first wave has begun in the US, India and Brazil and here's what we know so far on how it works.
At the moment, it seems like Web Stories is integrated within the Discover tap and Google plans to do the same for Google Search in the future. Much like Instagram, you can check out what are the top stories of the day by swiping and if you tap on it, it will bring you to the news. On top of that, creators and publishers can also utilize the feature to share and add links for engagement.
Personally, this is a pretty great tool for the media to get in touch with the audience and vice versa. As visual presentation tend to get better attention than just words, we hope to see it soon in Malaysia.
