While the recent Google I/O saw the announcement of Android N and all its features, some other noteworthy Google Projects were demoed as well with Project Soli being one of them. Featuring a radar-based control mechanism, users can control devices with finger or hand gestures from afar and the tech seems to be accurate enough to detect more complicated gestures as well.
Apart from wireless controller-less controls, Project Soli can also be used to identify materials or even capture 3D measurements. Despite being announced initially last year, there probably won't be any Malaysia release date for Project Soli controllers anytime soon, but the video below should be cool and interesting enough to watch nonetheless.
