Today, Grab unveiled a new lineup of GrabX products and the latest AI technologies. There are a few new solutions, which include Grab For Family | Teens, GrabGood for One, Shared Saves, Advance Booking, Dine Out Discovery and Grab Travel Pass. In this article, we are taking a look at how Grab is improving food deliveries.
Starting with GrabFood for One, Grab intends to make food delivery more accessible to solo diners by offering affordable meals with no minimum spend, at a fixed low delivery fee. Grab said it has worked with merchant partners to curate a list of viable meal options for a quick checkout. GrabFood for One is now live and available in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

To save food costs together, Grab also introduced Shared Saver for users to discover and join live orders near you. It is similar to Group Order, but with strangers online who are ordering food at the same time. Grab's AI will detect when there are multiple orders in the vicinity for the same merchant and can decide to start a Shared Saver order. Shared Saver will be piloted in Singapore from April, and is planned to roll out in other cities by June.
Last but not least, Grab is planning to roll out Dine Out Discovery, which is powered by GrabMaps. This is for travellers looking for the best dining options and deals, whether it be in Singapore, Bangkok or simply in your new neighbourhood. Users can use Dine Out Discovery to search and filter by cuisine, food preferences, what’s popular, ratings, price and even walkable distance.

Moreover, users can tap on restaurants to see details like menus, opening hours, photos, user reviews, and whether or not they’re offering a dine-out deal. A table reservation at the restaurant can be made if it is available. Dine Out Discovery will be available across all markets by May, while reservations will be launched in Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand in May, with other markets to follow.
