Reliable tipster on everything Apple, Mark Gurman has revealed that the tech giant is planning to revamp its naming scheme for the iPhone starting next year. Writing in his latest Power On newsletter, Gurman said that moving forward, the 'Pro Max' model will be replaced with ‘Ultra’ starting with the iPhone 15 series next year.

The tech insider further elaborated that this prediction is made based on Apple’s current pattern. This same prediction was also made by another reliable tech tipster, Ming-Chi Kuo earlier this month

Besides that, Gurman also told consumers to expect a revamped iPhone design next year. This is because the iPhones next year coincide with the change from lightning to USB-C.

Recently, Apple has started to introduce the ‘Ultra’ name to its products. These include the Apple Watch Ultra and before that, the M1 Ultra chip, which is the most powerful Apple Silicon to date.
