HONOR 80 GT release: SD 8+ Gen 1, 6.67-inch 120Hz OLED and 54MP main camera from ~RM2095

After being teased by HONOR for the past month or so, the Chinese tech firm has finally released the HONOR 80 GT, yet another variant in the HONOR 80 series. Launched in China yesterday, the device features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC under the hood.

According to the official HONOR Chinese website, the 80 GT is offered in either 12 or 16GB of RAM, with a singular 256GB storage option. As for the battery, the smartphone rocks a 4800mAh cell which supports 66W fast charging.

At the front, the 80 GT has a 6.67-inch 120Hz OLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The panel also supports 10-bit colour depth, 100 per cent DCI-P3 and 1400 nit peak brightness. 

In terms of imaging, the device has a 54MP main + 8MP ultra-wide + 2MP macro triple-camera setup at its rear and a 16MP selfie camera at the front. Besides that, the device has a large 4386mm2 vapour chamber, a small 1415 copper wires for better cooling and a 74mm graphene sheet for better thermal performance. 

Other notable specs of the 80 GT include Android 12 via Magic UI 7.0, USB-C as well as colour options of Black, Blue and White. In China, the device is priced at CNY3299 or ~RM2095 for the 12/256GB variant while the 16/256 variant costs CNY3599 or ~RM2285.
